Request: Looking for a good hotel deal on trip to Big Island (9/12-9/19)

Our preference is to stay at Marriott Hotels since I have gold status. The best deal that I could find is on Orbitz for 7 nights at the Waikoloa Marriott plus Car Rental for $900.00 (originally $1100 minus $200 using online promotion code). The downside is I don't collect any Marriott points and an upgrade is questionable at best.I'd really prefer to book directly with Marriott but their lowest rate is $185 per night. Can we suggest an alternate, better price for the Marriott? Otherwise, can you suggest an alternate hotel package for around $900? Thank you!
