At $55, the refurbished Sansa makes for a nice MP3 player. It's small, can play video, has an FM tuner, 8GB built in capacity and micro SD expandability. If you're looking to put together a cheap quad core computer system, the barebone kit is probably a good place to start. The mail in rebate is comparatively small ($5), and having a 1TB hard drive included is generous. On the laptop side of things, the Asus G51VX has been a popular item in the past. The big selling point is the GeForce GTX 260M video card, which gives notebook a lot of power for games -- much more so than most laptops.
