June 5-6: Optimum Points Bonus Redemption Event at Shoppers; Change to Optimum Points Program July 1

http://feeds.redflagdeals.com — Shoppers Drug Mart is having a Shoppers Optimum Points Bonus Redemption Event this weekend! In Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut and Northwest Territories you'll get $100 for 40,000 points (a bonus of $25) and $200 for 75,000 points (a bonus of $50). If you live in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island or Nova Scotia the reward is smaller. You'll get $85 when you redeem 40,000 points, and $170 when you redeem 75,000 points.
If you've been stockpiling Optimum Points for a while it's great time to redeem them -- Shoppers Drug Mart is changing their redemption levels as of July 1, 2010. The new redemption levels, which can be seen here, require more points per redemption level, making the program somewhat less lucrative. Here's how the changes look:
Current Redemption Levels:
7,000 Points for $10
15,000 Points for $25
30,000 Points for $55
40,000 Points for $75
75,000 Points for $150
After July 1, 2010:
8,000 Points for $10
22,000 Points for $30
38,000 Points for $60
50,000 Points for $85
95,000 Points for $170
